2011 General Election
The election determined odd Wards in Abington (eight of 15 seats on the Board of Commissioners), Abington School District (five of the nine seats on the Board of School Directors) and County offices. As a result, for the first time in over a century, the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners is under the control of democrats, including Chairman Josh Shapiro of Rydal.
